Fawn Mckay

Fawn McCay Brodie, born at Ogden Utah September 15, 1915. Fawn was a part of the Mormon Church's oldest family, was able to combine her literary abilities and outstanding research skills to create a stunning biography of Joseph Smith. No Man was aware of My History appeared in 1945. The title comes from the funeral sermon of Joseph Smith, founding father of the Church of Latter-Day Saints. His audience was shocked by his telling his audience: "You don't even know my name. It's been a long time since you've seen my heart." My history is unknown to anyone. It's impossible to tell. Wrote the 29-year old Fawn at the time: Ever since the moment when he spoke, at least three-score writers have jumped on the challenge. Some have deified and abused him, while others have tried to pinpoint the cause. There isn't a problem that there aren't enough documents but rather they are wildly inconsistent. It's a daunting task to assemble these documents by separating the first-hand versions from copies that are third-hand and integrating Mormon stories with other ones to form a cohesive collage. It is both interesting and eye-opening. FawnBrodie took on this professional project with gusto and enthusiasm. Thaddeus S. Stevens became immortalized through her works and the fruit of her research. The Devil Drives (1959) Scourge Of The South Thomas Jefferson. Richard Nixon and An Intimate Historical History (1974).
