Lucy-Liu
Lucy Liu (born Lucy Liu) is an American voice actor director producer, and vocalist. An attractive and intelligent actor, she is an example to numerous Asian actors who wish to make it big in Hollywood. After a series of initial performances in popular shows she achieved fame by joining the team of the legal comedy show Ally McBeal where she played the malicious Ling Woo. The actress translated her sudden success into big screen roles in films including Shanghai Noon and Charlie's Angels. Her next performance was a dazzling performance as Japanese crime lord O-Ren in QT's Kill Bill Volume 1. At the same time, she also played the lead role in a few films that failed at the box office, such as Rise: Blood Hunter. She then started voicing prominent characters in animated films, such like Kung Fu Panda and Tinker Bell. Mia Mason's part as a character in Cashmere Mafia, a small screen production, didn't bring about the results. Southland's highly praised police show, Southland and a recurring part in the show helped Liu establish herself the status of an established actress. Liu is very careful in picking her roles to ensure that she doesn't become typecast within a highly intensely competitive field. As much as she loves her culture however, this has not hindered her in her work as an artist.
