Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington has been a Greek American columnist, author and entrepreneur for more than twenty years. She founded The Huffington Post and the director of Thrive Global. Author of over 15 books. Arianna Huffington is a writer TV personality, philanthropist, and TV host as well as the founder and publisher of The Huffington Post. She emigrated to Greece to England aged 16 where she obtained a MA from Cambridge University in Economics. She was the first person non-UK to become president of The Cambridge Union at the age of 21. In the years following after her college graduation, she was a well-known Conservative syndicated journalist. After a few years later, she founded The Huffington Post which featured criticism of the present political scene. The fame of Arianna has led to the attraction of many famous contributors who shared their opinions on the news political, culture and politics. Arianna's celebrity status started in 2003, after she was a candidate for an independent for the California recall vote to replace Governor Davis. Additionally she was the leader of the Detroit Project to develop fuel efficient cars. In 2009 she was recognized by Forbes as The most influential women in media gaining 12th position on their list. The same year Guardian listed her on the top 100 media list. AOL Inc. acquired The Huffington Post, and she was made the president of this group. It included a variety of AOL properties at the time like Engadget AOL style list and Patch Media. Elli is the child of Konstantinos, a management and journalism consultant. Even though she was close with father, her relationship with her mother shaped the remainder of her life. When she was a teen she demonstrated leadership skills that she's still known for. In the year she turned 16years old, she emigrated from the United States to the United Kingdom and enrolled Girton College Cambridge. She joined Cambridge Union, the Cambridge Union college debate society while in college, where she was the first woman to be elected the president. In 1972 she graduated with a master's degree in Economics. Her professional career as a journalist and television host began after she graduated. She was on the show with Bernard Levin on an edition Face the music, and she began writing the books she wrote with Bernard Levin's aid.
