StephanieStephanie Sigman is a Mexican-American actress. Her first role was in Miss Bala, a Mexican crime-drama film. The actress went on to appear in Pioneer (2013), Spectre (2015), Going Under (2016) and Annabelle: Creation (2017). Sigman was the main character in Narcos (2015), S.W.A.T. (2017) and the second season of both of the series. Sigman was born to the family of a Mexican mother and an American dad, Lee Sigman, who is a New York Yankees scout. She is a U.S. citizen through her father. Her father, the professional baseball athlete Kenneth Ray Sigman was her mother. She started her career in Mexican television before making her debut on film in Rio de Oro. She played Laura Guerrero, the lead in Miss Bala, a Mexican crime drama film. The film was chosen for consideration as the Mexican entry in the Best Foreign Language Film at the 84th Academy Awards,[7][8] but it did not make the shortlist. [9] Sigman was awarded the Dublin Film Critics Circle Award in recognition of her performance as film critic in 2011. [10][11] She starred in the Canadian documentary, Flight of the Butterflies the next year. In 2013, Sigman starred with Pioneer the film, a Norwegian thriller.
