Seasons 1-8 are when shippers put bids on two shipments via uShip using a reverse auction model. The bids are typically presented with comments about the likely risks and the costs, as well the motives and abilities. The job usually goes to the bidder with the lowest bid after the auction has ended. However, at the discretion of the client the job may be awarded to a more competitive bidder who has received a better ratings from previous customers. Feedback ratings are used to break any ties for the lowest bid. In the season 9 finale, the shippers get their cargo from a shipping broker, and bidding is not shown.Winners load their cargo and attempt to complete the delivery within the receiver's or client's deadline. After the loads are delivered, the clients leave feedback ratings. The show concludes by calculating each shipper's revenues and expenses. subtract from the bid to calculate the total gain or loss. Sometimes, shippers will offer to haul multiple loads on the same trip, with the extra money figured into their total. Sometimes, the shipper will not be able to complete the job due to worries about the weight/size of the load as well as road safety. On occasion, one shipper will enlist the services of another person to finish a job; the shippers then have to decide which way to divide the profits. In seasons 1-8 the progression of each shipment is interspersed with funny criticisms from other shippers.
